So knowing where I'm starting with the props do you think I should get the bigger controllers?

70mm props cut down to 55mm will actually "act" like 60mm's +/-. I would not go more than 10s though. Props seem fine for a twin.

I'm going to start with 9s and if all goes well I'll do 10s. I sure do wish I went with the 300a though!!! Might just buy a couple but I'll have to run it by the queen...

44v x 200a = 8800w, that's continuous watts, the controller is capable of double that for surge watts. Even on 10s is capable of 7400a continuous. Now I know we don't run an esc at 100%, but we also don't run it at 8kw continuous either, the amount of time you'd actually see over 8000w would be minimal. I'm not saying a 300 wouldn't be better, but I also think Ben's 200 would go close to handling it. Anyways......

As far as 12s goes, the motor is rated to 30k, at 750kv we get 33krpm, I would be highly surprised if it had issues, I will let you know in the next few months just how many rpm's it takes to kill one

Well...............you had written 8500a...(amps)........in post #15, thats what threw me off. The motor is 780 kv not 750, and i have logged mine pulling 8500+ watts on 10s running 100% throttle.

                    Here's my 47" putting out 8000+ watts...............fastest pass is at 0:40

I have watched your video's many times, it was one of the reasons I purchased some 2028's And sorry for the confusion on a/w, my bad.

It might be worth asking Benjamin if the 300a speedy is the same unit with an extra cooling block, I have both and the 300 is the exact same size but just had a second cooling block. If it is he can sell you the second block and some new heat shrink. Not saying it def is, but worth asking the question.

I E-mailed Ben "Is your 300a 3-16s controller the same as your 200a 3-16s with extra cooling?"
His reply was "And updated pcb with more copper for the extra capacity."

Retail is $288, I get a small discount having purchased quite a lot of stuff from Ben but I think you still get a small discount off that if you are a FC ember, someone else may be able to tell you the amount if any? I also asked Ben about the 200 and he said it will take 300 but run hotter and you'd have to watch the temps a lot more running at this power level, optimally a 300 would be best but doable on a 200 if you HAD to.

It's the same price as retail but my discount is much bigger as a member on it, you'd have to ask someone else to have a look at their cost. The 200 will be discontinued when current stock runs out and it will only be the 300 available.
