LMAO! When I lived out west we had the "Special Helmet" for whoever left the most equipment strewn down a double black diamond! You had to wear it to the locals hangout. Damn I hated that thing, Until somebody duct taped a bong to the top of it!

Lost a exceed racing shark to the Pond gods. I think that was best I wasn't sad about it
Also lost part of a mean machine, and some cables and props
Not too bad.

4 boats on the bottom of 4 lakes in 3 states. Several destroyed in heat races and a few in SAW related incidents. I developed a specific mind set when dealing with race equipment (starting with pylon racers): The first run is very expensive, everything after that is free.

My start in RC was with airplanes and helis. You pretty much expect them not to last very long. I just started messing with boats this summer. I find them to be much, much more durable than RC aircraft!

I crashed my ProBoat Mystic LOTS of times this season, but only damaged it once (hit a dock....). I wish my TREX 450 heli was a tenth as tough!

Where should I start raced real cars - dirt bikes - atv's for many years. rc cars - planes - helicopters - boats and snowboarding. If u added up all the wasted money I would be a rich man but then I wouldn't of had any fun. My whole life I went into everything I did knowing I was going to go through a lot of money, and in my opinion if it does not brake your are not running it hard enough. I don't care how expensive or well it is built everything brakes soon or a later. I blown 10,000 to 30,000 thousand dollar motors up in one pass at the track, and seen much more expensive ones than that go up in flames. S**T HAPPENS and good luck to all of you.Chris

1/10 Scale heat at Winter Warmups VII. On first lap (37 seconds in) driver farts and blows out the bottom of the boat; boat ALMOST sank before heat was over. [ OK, the drive cable snapped & carved out the bottom of hull]. Priceless !

I ran my Toysport Triton for many many runs on 6s and never had an issue. Then, one cold winter morning i pushed it out into the water and.....nothing. 30 secs later, the hatch blew off and the 6s lipo went thermal......






It took 15 mins for the hull to drift back to the shore and the underside of the hull was still hissing because of the heat. When I got it home 20 mins later, I had to wear oven gloves to get the remains of the battery out. The hull was distroyed. The Lehner motor survived but the esc was toast.



It was my first 60mph+ boat and my pride andjoy. I was gutted!!!
