Why does a boat "spin out"...............need advice.

For some reason my 47" mono wants to spin out now............i have done a little prop swappin lately and some minor cog tweaking but nothing major. It never cornered real well to start with but it seems worse now. I get to a certain point in the rudder throw and there she goes! Rudder too small........too big.........?........Hmmmmmm.......

Thanks guys, just got back from a run testing a new Larger rudder to see if it helped.............nope.

Cuppa, found this on the site you posted...........

"When a Vee hull banks over in a turn, the rudder angle relative to the water changes, causing lift as water flows down the blade. Lifting the transom can cause the boat to spin out."

What angle is the rudder blade at? It could be lifting the trans in the turns, try tucking it closer to the transom and see what happens.

Is your servo high torque?sometimes not enough torque could also cause this

I can try the rudder tuck, and the servo is a Traxxas 2075 with 125oz. of torque............

Seem that your servo don't have enough torque, no surprise it spin out. At least you need 500oz torque servo

Thanks, 14kg of torque is around 190oz. Dont want to upgrade just a bit, if i do it will be like this with over 270oz................

Is it? I've convert 15kg to oz, its 500oz not 270oz
