    Any guys run gas here???

I was wondering if any members have/do run gas boats. Ive been looking to run them but dont any $ right now. I do have a little knowledge of boats in both full and scale but im still learning. I was wondering what would be a good upgradeable entry level gas mono?

look at the new rio by aquacraft, header issue seams to be the only qualm with it right now an a simple header/pipe upgrade goes a long way!

a friend has one, he has only gassers (3) a magnum57 (mono hull, 26cc motor) a scratch built woody-v with a homelight an jut picked up the rio. It starts nice an easy tuning is a cinch an definetly fast, Ive only been there for the break in but he has a lightened header an oneills (?) tuned pipe since then an says shes great!

both, we run in a large pond inland that can have glass flat an at worst a few 1-2inch ripples, an we run in old tampa bay which is an inlet of tampa bay, salt, waves can be around 6-8 inch. I called him this morning to get a update since I havent seen it run since break-in says it handles the wave well even had it running alonside his 18ft center console showing low/mid 40s on the fullsized boat an it was keeping pace well in about 4"chop. He says so far its his favorite an is looking forward to dropping a mod motor into it soon. Im actually thinking of picking up one myself later on this year, should be some fun...maybe messier than FE but hey run times of 25+ min sure has me thinking it would be great to tool around with while the batteries charge!

If you are really interested in gassers you need to check out out jims dock.
They are by far the best place I know of to get info. I currently am building a gasser cat.... Here is a link to jims..

salts not a problem if you keep on top of things, we race sportbikes, pocketbikes, an many many other things that thrive on wd-40 so keeping the hardware free an clean is just a matter of dishwashing soap, rinse, rinse, rinse an then liberaly lube everythin!
