new wires

hi guys i want to install 10 ga wires to a turnagy 120 esc . i tried to melt the solder hoping the wires would come off but they don't ! how are they attached besides solder?
any help would be great,

Why do you want bigger wires on t120? Surely turnigy have made it to handle 120 amps.

there too short ,so i thought if i make them longer i should go up one size of wire. the esc is 12 ga

I would just install "jumper" wires... similar to what I've done here:

No problem. These ones are longer than you'd likely want/need, but you get the idea. You can use much larger wire for these, and then you'll negate any appreciable voltage losses due to added resistance. Makes it much easier to swap out ESCs and Motors...

thanks again , one last question about the esc . witch of the three wires on the esc go to the motor wires . esc wires are all the same blue colour labeled a ,b ,c , the motor (UL1) yellow ,black ,red ?

Just plug them in if it runs backwards just change round any 2 wires.

Sounds your using a CAR ESC rather than a watercooled MARINE ESC... Do you have a picture?

ummmm... that is funny. Typically the ABC labeling is for sensord contollers and motors. I am not sure why they would put that on a marine contoller.

i couldnt melt the solder on my t180 either with an 80 watt iron i thing they are epoxy coated or something or they use high temp solder

It is good high temp solder.

On a side note I was able to remove the wires from a SF/Hifei 120 esc and successfully added 10G wires, 2 sets for 2P. It was pretty easy if you are experienced if not, you my melt parts with an 80W iron easy.
