The guy I got it from was going with the twins, thats where the idea kind of came from, he had a pair of the same KV you have, so I have seen it with the motors sitting in there, it will be tight but I think it's doable, more viable may be about 2000kv and a 4s 5000 mah pack for each side. Bee eyeing the FighterCat twin esc, not in stock yet though.
Pretty much have 37 or 42 mm CR props from octura to work with.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Being a relative newcomer to the hobby I was only gonna put a new paint scheme on a couple of sv27 hulls and drop some hardware and power in a third. . . but I've been hanging out with a couple of very experienced scratch builders named Kendt and siberianhusky. . . and they have inspired me to tackle not just one but three scratch builds. . .a kneeler hydro -- outboard version, 1993 OHBOY OBERTO, and JAE 21 rigger.
A dream not pursued is not worth holding.

Well my Kneeler is progressing quickly and laser cutting is about to start for my rigger. I have till Feb before I have my wrist surgery so I may have to try and squeeze in a third build...But have no clue what that might be.....
