I agree Carl, I think a single CC2028 could move this hull to some decent speeds on 10s2p
I think that motor can dish out over 10hp on 10s
and that's more power than any single gas motor in a boat I know of..

10HP is alot of power. I know that there are some 35cc mod motors out there that can produce that, however brushless power is more insant power!!!!! I have a full mod 35cc that QD has dyno'd over 11HP.

              triple 2028!
i forget what motor and thread it was but some motor was clocked at 450A and 28V, or 12600 watts! that would move it alone nicely.

Ok, to change topics a bit, I was going to give the rigger I'm building the 2028 10s and a x460.
I was going to try to run it on (2) 45c 5s 5000mah hyperion packs. Judging by some of the high currents you guys are seeing I have to think this is a bad idea and should go 2p ?

Steven, i regularly pull 220 amps with my 47" mono spinnin' an x457 on 10s2p...........i think performance would suffer quite a bit on 1p.......not to mention the 2 minute runtime you'll get. I have swapped to an x460 for the last few runs and think i will keep that as my setup.

                    WOW!
that's awesome... I know no gas motor would put that power out at my elevation
plus even at sea level a gas motor needs to be on a great tune with the right pipe to keep up with that sucker

Steven, I plan on using twin 5692 1340KV with a 8S2P, Castle HYDRA ICE2 200HV setup in my 44" AvengerPro cat. Please keep us posted on your progress.

PS: jj2003 recommended 12S LIPOs! Maybe I'm not alone in wanting to raise the NAMBA Voltage limits. THX, JIM

Steven, I really hope you can make the 2012 nats at Legg Lake this summer. I'd love to go head to head with you & your new cat against my 44" AvengerPro. Twin 5692 1090KV, 8S2P setup. If you are faster, I'll drop in the 1340KV motors:) JIM
