    id stay away from .098 id go .125 ive broke 2 .098s in a 21 vee hull under brushless power they may work for 450-480 motors though depending on what you plan on using

      Some one made me up a wire drive for it (you can see it in the second picture just sitting on the boat)
      Worked very well (I can not remember the size it was)
      If you want a flex just use .150 and no teflon liner
      I think the brass tube that you would have to use would still fit in the bottom of the original square box that the straight shaft came out the bottom of the boat

          3/16 prop shaft? What hardware is/was that. Looks really good!. I wanna start collecting parts to build it up. Do u have a shot of the motor mount? Would one of the water cooled ones from here work?

            Yes 3/16 prop shaft
            The hardware I used was called Sollinger
            Motor mount I just made myself
            I just used a piece of aluminum in the floor and bent up tabs to mount motor to (this helped to stiffen up the floor area)
            It is just bolted down through the same holes that came in the boat when it had 2 motors and gears
