Yes, I have run a couple of them. I like the open air design and the smooth countersunk can screws.

The ones I demo'd had the Japanese high speed bearings.

I don't have the equipment to do a side by side comparison, but they ran as I would expect a 4082 size motor to run.

I can get some photos side by side if you like.

08gtrKing did you get one of the TP Power motors? I am also looking for that class/size motor.

I have 2 each of the TP 5660's and 4060 size ones, I also have the leopard and turnigy version of the 4082, and leopard 5692, so will compare all 3 at some stage in the next few months.

6BOOST - Thats awesome, cant wait to see the comparisons. Any insight into which motor into which motor(s) are better is greatly appreciated. Unfortunatly I'm going to purchase something very soon.

I am currently running a 1515 2200kv but going slightly bigger would interest me. Looking at the 4082 2200kv version.

Can size means almost NOTHING when comparing these motors. You need to look inside and see how the stack is wound, the stacks actual length inside the can and the actual length or the magnet rotor.

Be careful you could compare apples to oranges without even knowing it.

The TP power 2180kv 4082 has windings that stop short of the rear end bell by approx. 1/4" - 3/8". I don't know about a Leo 4082??

This TP motor has no front air vent holes and I may drill them out after I remove the front plate.

TP power motors, at least the 5692's I have also have windings that stop short of the rear end bell, maybe up to 1/2".

The 56mm diameter motors have 16 segment stators vs Leo with 12 steps. TP motors appear to have a much tighter wind of field coils compared to what I have seen inside leo 4074's and Leo 56mm diameter motors.

If the stators are wound tighter and wound better you may not need as much length in stator but, I'm guessing on that.

The magnet wire is of a different source I would say also being darker (maybe because of thicker enamel coating or different enamel colour coating???).

So far until the ice melts, I won't know much more.
