Tom, I love the honesty...been there, done that. Have a beer and tomorrow is another day.
Damn, I always hate it when I think I have checked everything and Tom I feel for you as I was changing my K&N filter system on my car yesterday and forgot to tighten a simple clamp...start it up and engine malfunction lights up and the car runs real rough. Oh sh!t what hapenned. Trace the steps and

Sorry to hear the news. Something Properchopper brought up a while back, was putting ties or clamps on all of the water connections. Your boat might have passed a pre water tight test, but the line leaked/blew off while running, due to higher pressure on the hoses, coming from higher speeds.

Thanks for the kind words guys it really means alot . Douggie when it's my fault I am the first one to step up. It would be a shame to tag the product as sub standerd because of a mistake.

As we all know this is what happens when we build our own boats & test new equipment. After relaxing and reflecting a bit I have some more input on the esc. Even with the limited time I had I did notice a very smooth throttle responce. It also had a quicker responce time when making throttle corections to set the bows for turning. I am pretty sure I can prop up quite a bit from the 637. The unit it big and heavy. It's not going to be easy to use in confined hulls. I believe this unit is going to be a winner.

Does anyone know a way to remove the burnd electronic smell from the hull? My guess is gutting it and whashing it out with soap and water. Any suggestions will help.

          Again thanks again fellas

I shot a couple stills. I think the melted circle on the back is some type of breaker or over heat protection circuit. It's what I noticed first. Well besides all the smoke, moisture and heat.

When my Hydra blew in my BJ, the whole hul inside was more or less black. It took lots of washing with alcohol to get rid of most of it, but it still smells.

I had to spray a thin coat of clear over the black crud to stop the odor.

I didn't get any black or burnd glass it's all still clean. I was able to grab it quick and yank it out still smokin. I'll try soap and water tomorrow night. I don't feel like messing with it this evening.

I have stripped and cleaned the hull. I removed everything from the inside. Being a domesticated male I run across some good cleaners. I started using windex multi surface a couple months ago. It has a really strong citrus oder. It was just the thing I needed. I soaked down the inside of the hull, wiped it out and it's clean as can be. No more burnd smell. This is the perfect time to properley install the battery trays and do a couple other things in the hull I want. I'll have a new esc by saturday but the other work I'm doing will take a week or so.
