Hey, being fairly new to the marine part of RC, I have a quick question:
I've seen most of you guys have boat stands made of PVC pipe and foam insulation of some type. My question is where is the best place to go to purchase the pvc pipe and what exactly are the foam pieces called that fit over the pvc pipe well (so I don't look like a dummy when I ask at home depot or menards or wherever is best to buy this stuff at) :p
Also, what type of adhesive is best (and cheap) to secure the pieces together? Any recommendations on pipe diameter too?
Hope that's not too many questions.
The general idea of these boat stands is really elementary I realize, and I'll have no problems building once I get the parts. Just want to be sure of what I need before I go to the store & avoid wasting money on unnecessary parts.
I'm planning on using the boat stand(s) for safe transportation as well.
My budget is a bit tight too, as I'm looking to add a second boat to my fleet before long. But it's very important to me to be able to keep them safe first!
Thanks for any info!
