It won't be flighty, since it is 25". Small amt of hull volume, and minimal lift. It will be unstable though, unless setup right. I'd go 4s2p, maybe around 7000 mah total.

I ran a UL-1 2050kv motor with a single 4s lipo in the stock location up front along with an x440 3 blade prop and it would run 45 - 48 mph with motor esc and Battery temps under 115 all day, now I have a turnigy Typhoon 1800kv outrunner in it and it runs about 40 - 43 mph and temps are up to 135, I was expecting a speed decrease with this motor but dissapointed with the temp increases. but it is super stable, I had it in the Bay yesterday jumping large Boat wakes, it can be set-up to fly pretty flat :)

ok so im going to use either a 7xl or the 2374 keda in it seeing as I already own the two and a t180 esc...so as far as props go are we agreeing on an x442 or maybe a x437/3 or x440 even? I vote on x442 but am new to the hull so....I was gonna try a grim 42x55 maybe even on 4s1p???

Do you have a picture of the inside of the boat?
There is no replacement for displacement, I guess I just have to Buzz it higher!

            here you go,

I have tried alot of different motor, esc and prop combos but my favorite was the UL-1 motor, 90 amp seaking and x440/3 prop, but that set-up is in my VS-1 now.

This boat was setup so the batteries would go down each side of it. So the only way 4S is going to happen in it is with two 2S batteries. There wasnt enough room to put a 4S on each side.

Thanks Pete32200, looks like I will have to change the config of the inside of my DF26, my batteries are on each side of the motor, hull is very flighty, need batteries down the centerline of the hull to make it more stable. Thanks again!

From the factory my prince only had one battery tray in the center, it is set-up for a single 3s or single 4s lipo

My boat was similar. Where is your balance point at? I put some marks on my hull at the 70/30 rule to help balance it when putting the batteries in.

Back when the batteries were in the front it was more like a 40/60 balance point... lol. It ran wet and fast. I went to the 70/30 so I could get more speed. Plus most people were putting batts down the side.

The only downside I found is I couldnt run 4S that way.
