I completely acknowledge that you did not suggest a 70 amp. That was my bad. Funny how things can get so out of hand in text. I am just trying to figure out where you are coming from...And in what context these suggestions where in.

I appreciate all the suggestions. My DF 26 is on its way. We will see what happens with it.

And Make-a-Wake, if your real intention was to tell me that my motor in any hull, even the DF 26 will be a piece of S----, so get the better motor and hull you suggested (post #6), I can appreciate that as well. I supposte that is what upgrades are for. That's just not how it came accross to me. So no hard feelings....I hope.

        Its all cool.

This is why i suggested the 4074 with the 33" hull.................and then said you would need a 120a ESC....for the 4074.................:

"Please correct me if I am way off base here, but with a simple setup as discussed above, 1755 RMP/V, 44 amp max motor, the cost of Hull, ESC, rec., and other accessories, I am looking at almost $300. And I have the motor, radio, batteries already. This is a setup that wouldn't get me more(or much more) performance than the Fastech. Might as well get a Geico cat or some other higher end RTR with different hull.....Unless I go big and spend big"

The DF26 and 540L will be a speedy, sound setup that should run cool and into the 35-40 range.
