    Looking for Hull Suggestions

I have a Feigao 540L 1,755 rpm/V 14L motor, Speedmaster full Mono hardware set, and 2 cell lipo sets and would like a hull that is an improvement to the ProBoat Fastech (for a second boat). Looking for a mono hull obviously for good rough water handling (with lots of wind chop on small lake. No whitecaps etc). Speeds of 40-45 maybe? Can this motor even reach that? Budget is a modest concern. Esc ?http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...od=dh-aqum7011 ? Thinking 60 amp for this motor if 2-2.5 foot boat?

    Any suggestions?

The 60 amp esc should be OK on 4s with that motor in a reasonable sized hull..........like 28" or so, give or take a couple inches.

Here are some hulls to look into:

My suggestion would be the Delta Force 29 or 33. I would go with the Etti 150, not the 60 amp ESC. I have the Delta Force 29. I run it in P-Limited Offshore. I'm guessing that it runs in the Low 40's with the BJ motor in it.

Please correct me if I am way off base here, but with a simple setup as discussed above, 1755 RMP/V, 44 amp max motor, the cost of Hull, ESC, rec., and other accessories, I am looking at almost $300. And I have the motor, radio, batteries already. This is a setup that wouldn't get me more(or much more) performance than the Fastech. Might as well get a Geico cat or some other higher end RTR with different hull.....Unless I go big and spend big?!?! Right?

And I have the hardware set as well....

I'd suggest the DF33 and throw this motor in it, 2y, 4 pole 4074

I suspect that the motor will draw much more than 44 amps. I think you can expect more like 70 amps with that motor and 4S.

I dont think he has bought an ESC yet.........he will obviously need a 120a or better.

It is a 540L. Do NOT get a 33" mono. It is best suited to a smaller mono like the DF 26.

Rumdog, DF 26 is on its way! I agree with you.

As to the other "so helpful" posts, those are crickets most likely. You were missing the obvious point! I have over $200 in new condition hardware, motor and usable batteries. I am looking for a good match to those specifically. I am NOT just throwing the blanket question out there. So suggestions that include me buying ALL new equipement? It might be useful info to someone else, but not me. And not the point of this post.

My suggestion: Read post first... Then answer if you think you could help.

JSTOLZ, how do you get to 70 amps without knowing actual boat size or prop? My 540L is rated at 44 amps max. Obviously if I overload it, it will go higher and ..... then then . But I am loading up a DF 26 with a 632X. Calcs say a hair under 40A draw. I would still like to get an 80 amp ESC, but curious where I am off by so much....

I have a great inexpensive esc in the swap shop you mat like. Very small as well.

FWIW i ran a x 637 with an 8L on 3s in my DF 25 and she was a little rocket ship. VERY fun boats!

Make-A-wake. I have no hard feelings at all. It's not my RULES of the thread you violated, I just think you missunderstood my question or are missing the point of the thread.

Just frustrated that you would suggest a new 70 dollar motor when that is what i am trying to get into a boat. And you start out saying 60 amp ESC should be fine, then say 70 then 120 or better. And I really am curious how you estime or suggest a 70 amp draw with my motor and prop combo? Other than trial and error and the FE calc software?
