Lvc is low voltage cutoff, basically if its in lipo mode and you run nimh it will cut off a lot sooner than it should. And yes 2-6 cell nimh. If you run lipo I would start out with 3s 5000mah 30 to 40c. As far as motor... well how fast do you want to go? I don't think 1300kv is enough. They say its for 800 tp 1000mm boat but that's on 4 to 6s lipo.

So if i go with Lipo's its an OK motor?
What motor would be best with Nimh and Lipo?
What speed do you think it would go about? i was hoping for 30's-40's range?

          http://www.hobbypartz.com/kahaoubrmo14.html (servo)

To get to 30 to 40 mph your going to need around 4s voltage 16.8v and at least 1600kv or up and a decent prop x438.
Eeven on 2-6 cell nimh I'm not sure if 30 mph is possible in your rig.

Ok thanks for the servo info.
As for the motor i thought the lower the number the higher the RPM, and Higher numbers were for torque like crawlers?
Understood about the battery situation. Atleast now i have a staring point of what to get.

No the higher the kv the more rpm. Your thinking turns.

The above mentioned 3674 1900kv is a good tacon motor. Im going to get that or the 4074 for my apparition.

Again the motor im selling is NEW and would be a good fit for your boat. As far as returning a motor to hobbypartz...they only replace defective products, if you run it and it frys its your problem... Its not like castle where they will replace/exchange... But for the price what can you expect.

                  Good luck on your build

There is a great LiPo circuit card with a digital display that will show how many cell the battery has (if it shows 3 S when it's a 4S one is burned out), shows voltage for each cell & total voltage. It's on ebay for under $10. See Lipo Battery Low Voltage Tester 1S-8S Buzzer Alarm, item#(180633061879).

That motor is the same in my friends spartan, he said thats a big motor and drains the batteries fast. do you think my boat can handle that motor since mine is smaller?
Does your's have watercooling or do i have to get a sleeve for it? u said $40 with shipping?

Also just trying to understand the whole motor specs...so Tacon Brushless Motor LBP2860-B/2D-5050KV For 400mm to 600mm RC Boats, what would be wrong with this one since 5050kv would be alot more RPM's than the 1900 and 1300?

Listen. You'll never get the answer you're looking for. There are too many variables to give you str8 answers. Someone offered you a good motor for your boat..... Just take it and be done

FYI.... Multiply total battery voltage x motor kv to get rpm. Rpm should be between 25000 and 35000

The 2860 is too small for your boat. 5050kv!! Lol that's way too much it burn up real quick!

Its all about balance between kv/voltage/and amp draw on the esc. The motor I'm selling is a good motor for a moderate brushless setup in a 32 inch boat. And yes it includes the cooling jacket.
