Didn't mean to upset you Fluid.

So anyway the weather is looking great. I won't have my buddies GPS but I should be able to get some good testing in. Again, I thank everyone for their help.

First of all id like to point out im not talking down too or insulting you or anyone else. Any thing regarding specs on motors or esc in helis or planes is pretty much out the window when used in FE boats. As many off us have found to our cost re pushing things to far, Their no second chances when it goes wrong in a boat escpecially with esc. Regards Martin.

Ok guys this is what she is doing now. I raised the strut as far as it would go per your advise (about 3mm above the rear most ride pads, laying flat on the table).

The boat is much improved. You can see in the vid that it is still porpoising, but it flattens out as I approach full throttle. I notice that it also torques hard to the right under full power.

I guess since I can't move the strut any more that I need to play around with the c.g.

P.S. Can we embed videos here? *Edit* Yup.

try a prop with less pitch. x4 series. Start with a x442, then maybe a m445

I had Googled around a bit and the closest club I found was in Mount Laurel, which is two hours away. Which club are you talking about?
Check out the NAMBA district 1 website, there is a link for local clubs. 2 are in Morris County, near Randolph. Its probably twenty minutes to a half hour or so away from you.

I appreciate your advise, but please don't insult my intelligence.
I wouldn't worry about fluid, your looking to go over 65mph so he cant help you. lol

You have mudl with a twin setup that dont open his hatch after running his boat because of the smoke that would be coming out from over heating ever thing and only a pic of his gps. everyone wants this setup

I shake my gps before i make a run and 2x my speed on my vids. lol

I start with the strut all the way up and then set my prop angle. Now set the cog and you should have it. Check out the pics.

                      A x642 only got me 81mph on 9s.
Rumdog is right try a m445

Can you please explain your suggestion? Do you think that loading the motor more lightly (less prop) will improve performance?

Thanks Howard. Looking at your boat, I believe it was your vid (87.5 mph) that inspired me to build this boat!

The extra pitch in the x6 series my be causing the hop you are seeing by lifting your transom.
