    pursuit mono build

started a little work on this one hardware and battery motor placement, have not mounted turnfins i did not get trim tab i will try without for now. i am going to add some 1/8 wood support in the v between the rails and make a deck for the batts to sit, for now i am ditching the flood chamber idea and will set everything to make it doable later. all the hardware i got from HOR with the boat its real nice stuff i choose the strut and added 1/2" standoffs so i could adjust up and down if need be, i have not been using teflon in my brass but i need it for this one when the flex exists the transom to the strut

    setup
    motor-medusa 3680 2000kv
    esc-turnigy 180
    battery-4s1p/5s1p
    prop-?

slow going but almost there- cg is very low and trying to keep all electronics between rails, the t180 is alittle large so i think i will get a swordfish 200a, reinforced the hull with 1/8 ply and epoxy its very stiff now. need to mount servo and make a propperchopper style battery holder. if i can get to the hobby shop maybe i can get it done

I just ordered a pursuit. It's my first boat. I'm curious as to how this will turn out.

Yes it does. Seaking 180 esc and leopard 4074 2000kv motor. I got a 1pc flexshaft and a bunch of spare stuff. From what I've read, having the battery's up front doesn't work very well. Will see how yours goes.

Did it come with the motor way at the back????? Thats odd...........but if the CG is right, the hull wont mind i guess as long as the driveline isnt crimped being so close to transom.

thats just where i put it i like a shortest drive line possible and the motor is almost sitting in the hull with minimal cable bend. to get the batts in the middle you either have to put the motor way foward or aft to give the batts space to move, i can go 28% to nose dive if need be for cg, better to have to much than not enough

with the stock motor mount layout if you put the batts in front it looks to me it puts the cg to far foward from the pics i have seen where they install the motor and battery mounts, thats why my motor is farther back to get the right balance point

I bought one of those too and ordered extra parts like you did. So far I'M sticking with the two piece shaft, other than it being difficult to service I kinda like it. I'm running 4s2p and a x447, temps good and it hauls the mail. Hope you like yours as much as I do.

i took out the 2 peace shaft and used a single from kentec....single flex seems to work great for me with 2200kv motor
