I saw somewhere that this boat needs further reinforcing, anyone have experience with this?

I think it will be a blast! I am picking the boat up literally on my way to camping. Any tips on things to bring? Tools, what fasteners are used with this boat?

I have one here. It is strong enough for 1P & stock motor, i.e. PB motors, AQ motors on 4s1p.

If you plan to run 2P you should re-inforce it.

          Empty hull is 925 grams.

Well I do plan on running 4s2p. Where does it have to be re inforced and where? I assume you would just add more layers of fiberglass?

mainly the bottom of the hull, i bought it with rails hoping it would stiffen up but not enough for me. i used 1/8 plywood and epoxy and its strong now no flex. at the speeds the boats are going and all the weight with 2p setups its just a good idea to have extra support

                    Thats awesome.

I started my build officially today. It all started with a piece of Carbon Fiber cloth and finishing resin. Cloth 11" across and 18" long. She is currently drying while the hardware should be out in the mail tomorrow.

Hi Steve, pardon me if i didnt see your setup but are you running the "upgrade" 4074 version?? EDIT: Duh, just saw it in the first post again.......I'm asking cuz you are running very similar speeds and temps as mine.......i'm using an x442 though, thus my 45mph top end. I had it stock at first(3660) and on 4s with an x440 it ran in the mid thirties.

Mine has quite a few spider cracks that i have simply been usning CA on as they show up, its my basher, i had a good side by side 'knockfest' with one of my buddies today down the straightaway in a three man race.........we all have the smae setup and its a blast........big crowd of joggers/bikers gathered up for it.
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=
