I saw one set up there where the person collected alot of diecast cars and wanted a set up for slot cars so he could race the grand kids ( that was his excuse to build it anyway) and he did it in the basement where it would go up into the ceiling when not in use but when it came down it would sit on top of the furniture in the room ( he had every thing all the same height) this was set up with an electric winch maybe a garage door opener would work
My son also has the larger carrera set and we are thinking about getting him a bunk bed without the lower bed so there would be more space in his room to have something set up
