Have you tried a strut (a bit positive) or trun fin adjustment to settle the boat down? On Tonys recommendation we run the 545 with a degree positive on the FE30 and the rear stays planted. I'm a newbie at sport hydros so I'm trying to learn set up but I think they are quickly becoming my favorite.

Sailr, I take it you're not using a Aquacraft controller in your spec set up? I am and I'm afraid to use anything bigger than a 442 at the moment. But I have Mr Sholund working on some ABC 17xx props for me.... and some 18xx for Neu power.

My strut is dead flat on the setup board. I am trying different props first then I will try strut angles and other ideas (cog). The biggest speed improvement so far was using the steeper ride pads. The higher discharge Hyperion batteries help LOTS also.

I have used some aggressive props (ABC H 10 and S 15) with my spec Raptor rigger (UL-1 esc and motor). I can tell that the motor will be the first to go. I am still using the original UL-1 esc with larger capacitor.

The ABC 1816/3 prop is difficult to sharpen and balance, but well worth the effort. Requires different strut setting and/or more weight added to stern to keep prop in water .

I cut the 1 degree ride pads from a block of bass wood using a table saw. Then finished them using finishing epoxy resin. The ride pads will make Whip faster, but more weight is needed to prevent it from taking flight. I would first try the boat without ride pads. Unless using the lower powered ul1 motor/esc. Sorry no video.

Yes, I am using the Aquacraft controller. No problem with the M445 prop.

using a ul1 motor with m445 in a 29 inch cat and pulling 104 amp peaks, couldn't tell you the continuous though, wish i could.

                        hi Guys

My whiplash came today, I setup using 1515 1y, (4s)2 x 2s 25-50c 5000mah nanotech, skywing 200A and my available props are x442, x447, k45. What timing should I set for the esc and what available prop that I have would you recommend? Im new to this kind of boat.

                        thanks
