I could spend $280.00 on a new set of Hyperion 4200 45c lipos or add a quarter pound of lead weight. I think I will add the lead weight first.

Extra weight was NOT needed . Turned out my turn fin was adjusted wrong. I had to angle fin so that it would pull hull down in turns/straits better. Boat now runs wetter, but pulls more amps. I will have to find the fine line between too loose and too tight. Ride pads are still attached to hull.

I think I found the sweat spot on the turnfin. Boat is a missle using the simple m445.

I am thinking the 1515 1y is plenty for my hull. UPS will deliver the 1518 2340kv motor Thursday. I have to go in for a colonoscopy Friday...can't wait!

Today I removed the steeper ride pads and ran the boat. Whiplash was noticably slower (wetter), but a little more stable without the pads. I could see maybe the 1518 motor pushing this configuration faster than the 1515 1y.

Prop up a bit from that m445, guys were running the m645's at the Nats.

I was just compairing steeper ride pads verses no ride pads using the same prop. I have a few more props i will try. My detunged x645 is thinner and should work better than my thicker cast m645. I also have a couple of 3 blade props.

I agree with ya, I use steeper ride pads on my custom 27" Whiplash which were added on to it, the boat picked up speed and used less power, it remained stable probably because I only added a small amount.

Yeah, I run the M445 on my SPEC whiplash, LSH. For P sport, you should be able to prop up!

I have noticed my m445 unhooking in the turns then hooking up once boat straitens out. So next I will try the standard x646. I am thinking leaving the tungue in place on the x646 will help hull turn faster and exit turns faster (hook up better in turns).
