I have a pursuit with a two piece shaft. I would like to replace it with a flex shaft. What would you recommend. What else would have to be changed to fit a flex shaft. Where would i get the parts required. Is this easy to do. Instructoins on installing the shaft would be appreciated.

It should be the same as it was on my Genesis. Drill out or pull out the 4mm bushing in the strut and replace it with 3/16 bushings. Install 3/16 prop shaft and new cable. I used .150 size cable on mine but could of gone with .187 cable. Really easy to do.Comment

Club17,
You are asking some of the same questions I have. I just ordered a Pursuit from Kintec. I'm used to dealing with the RC heli world and when I bought any new heli I ordered tons of spare parts. For some stupid reason this time I did not think about spare parts or upgrades even though I read all about them. Not to hijack your post but suggestions on what "spare" parts I should keep on hand would be greatly appreciated. So far on my list of stuff to order before I make a run is:
Shaft grease
one piece shaft
strut seals
Thanks,

Heli's are nothing like boats. I fake my boats out and don't break anything. There really is nothing to break unless you break the boat it's self it burn up the electronics. I just got in to Heli's. I have tried to fly 4 times and every time has oat me a trip to the LHS. Not the case with boats.
So with that said, grease, hatch tape, and props is pretty much all you will need.other than batteries of course.Comment

I believe these parts will do the job:

you should be able to just drill the 4mm out to the size of the new 3/16 bushing.Comment

Club 17.
There's a bit of a description in post #11 in this thread on how I replaced the bearings in a second hand Pursuit that I built up. It was a strut but I've done the same thing with stingers if that's what you have on yours.
As I went to a .187 flex I also replaced the stuffing tube & liner because the .187 flex was too tight in the 4mm liner.
Cheers.

You are most welcome.
But don't bother raising the drive line exit in the transom like I did. I had to drop it back down again as it was running too wet.
Hope to see yours on the water soon.
