doubt it, there is only two other boats that can hang/beat the Insane that I have seen, one is the Whiplash and the other is the new Phil Thomas Stealth Sport hydro.

                  Thanks for those encouraging words

Looks like im gonna have to find a magic prop then. Any magic props for sale?

What makes the insane so fast? Have you seen a vegas go against one?

Tony is gonna be driving one of the ones i need to beat so that should be a snap

Both are 30 inch. sponson design better on the fe30? Well worst case scenario the vegas will hit the swap shop and i'll have to fork out the dough for a FE30 and some hardware. Still need to put some laps on her though, I think i might want yo concentrate on finishing a race before I think about winning one.

sorry not the best choice in words LOL!

no I have not seen a Vegas run against the Fe 30, but I have a Vegas and a Whiplash, they had identical power, the Vegas did well but the Whip did so much better, handling rough water, cornering, etc.

Since I have put my Whip in battle against FE 30's and the Stealth Sport's, I know the Vegas would take some work to be a front runner, not that it can't be done just more work.

                      Sean, you weeny. haha

There's more to racing than being the fastest guy on the drink. The Vegas is a fine place to start. If you're in the right place on the course you can make the fast guys take the long way. Sometimes that's enough. It'll come down to who your racing with. There are guys out there that can beat you with a motor strapped to a tree branch. Then there are guys that can have 20mph on you and can't win to save their life.

Thank you, Terry. I don't want Mike to feel disadvantaged since buying my Vegas; in fact we're getting together today to do some dialing in. Thing is I had every intention of racing the Vegas in P-Sport Hydro at WW VII until Jeff figured it'd look better if I had a P-Sport FE 30 so he supplied me with another hull, hence I could sell the Vegas to recoup my build expenses on the FE30.
The point you make above is amply supported by my recent P-Sport Hydro First in Class win at the H2O Gassers race where I drove a spec-powered FE 30 against three full-on P-Sport FE-30's and another spec version, (taking the class win ONLY, lest anyone think I'm that good of a driver, because of the learned guidance of the pitman at my shoulder, Tyler G.)

Further, IIRC the latest IMPBA 2-Lap P-Sport Hydro record is 27.something with an FE 30, and a while ago Brian drove my Vegas to a 28.something lap and was picking up speed on the second lap until a rather unfortunately surprised on-course spectator, Mr. Turtle, intervened and somehow drastically de-tounged the prop, likely with his built-in body armour
