Ran 55 on 5s today and 47 on 4s. Boat was out of control on 5s due to bad cg. About half of my passes ended in spectacular crashes. In fact when I came in the gps was off due to getting flung around in boat, so I think I may have gone faster than 55, but we will have to wait until another day to know for sure.

Sounds like you should just get yourself a Pursuit and be done with it....

After messing with the boat this weekend I am confident that high 50's on 5s is attainable. However before I go too crazy I think I'm going to tear it a part and line the hull with cf. Like I mentioned earlier the CG was all screwed up and the boat had some spectacular blow overs, so I want to make sure the hull is properly reinforced before I cause any major damage.

Where is the best place to get cf?

I typically run the batteries slightly aft of the motor, but this weekend one of the trays broke so I had both batteries on one side and the gps on the other side. Now I'm going to remove both trays and line the bottom of the sponsons with velcro
