    new genesis build

I currently have a genesis with a leopard 4074 2000kv and turning 180esc. After a few months of running this combo I have decided it's time for a new (faster) combo. It must do mid 60's and would be great if it was capable of 70's and i'm preparred to convert it to a twin. That said I would like to do it on a reasonable budget, possibly two 120 or 180 esc's and a couple feigao or tacon motors.

Is this possible? What hardware do I need (motor mounts, stingers, drives, props, etc...)?

Also I would like to save my current motor and esc for a mono build.

Check out Fightercatracing.com. He has twin hardware kits for the the genesis that provide everything you need. Also, do a search you can find out most if not all you need to know. Good luck!

I checked out Fightercatracing and his hardware kit seems like a good deal, as do the feigao 9XL motors.

How many cells can you run with those motors and what type of speed do you expect? Are you running the wire drives or flex cables?

My hull has some minor chips, cracks and scratches. I plan on making the necessary repairs and lining the hull with CF, then I'll probably do a flat black paint job. I want it to be strong and fast, not too concerned with how it looks.

          Why not just try 5s?

I too want to upgrade my flex shaft to a 1 piece 3/16 of stock stronger. Where can i get this from? is it a direct drop in?

Not a direct dropin but you can get it all from the OSE store,,the inline rudder system from ose is for 3/16 shaft you could remove the old one and install it and you would have to remove the stuffing tube and put in the wright one then slip in your 3/16 cable and shaft and good to go!!!

That's about right for the 5S setup the OP has if he is running a prop with ~2.3" of pitch. If so he does not have enough prop to go any faster. If speed is all he wants, then try an x642 or m645. These have enough pitch to get into the 60s, but I am not sure about temps or run times. If he tries them he needs to be careful and check the temps often at first.

                        I'm running a x640.

My cousin came over a couple days ago and he thought my strut was way too high so he dropped it down about .25". Yesterday I ran it on 5s and it seemed like a new boat, so I brought it in and put the gps and what I thought were fresh batteries, but then it was much slower so I think I had bad batteries or I hurt something. We'll see what happens today

Ran 55 on 5s today and 47 on 4s. Boat was out of control on 5s due to bad cg. About half of my passes ended in spectacular crashes. In fact when I came in the gps was off due to getting flung around in boat, so I think I may have gone faster than 55, but we will have to wait until another day to know for sure.

                              Hello there,

i 'm Nick from Austria (not Australia and yes we do not have kangoorus here). As i am a proud owner of the Genesis Boat, just wanted to write my impressions on the Boat. So by receiving a Genesis i got a 4s battery 5000mah charged it went to the near by Old danube river (in the original setup) uhhuu!! it goes quite fast, after ca. 10 min run, open it up and what do i see? Motor is boiling hot, same for ESC and the battery Lipo cells were almost blown, shait.
2nd run used the Seaking 90A ESC with the same battery and Motor. The results were more then pleasing. Motor warm, so was the ESC and the Battery is a bit warm. So i would say that the Seaking 90A is quite a nice piece of hardware, very pleased.

                              Regards

                              Nikk
