    I hate to throw another hat into the ring and add to the confusion here, but have you considered running a 730kv leopard on 12s? I agree with Fluid in regards to cell count. I personally would still try to run 2p if possible though, but thats just my opinion. From my experience running larger hulls I would say 10-12s is the way to get that speed without problems. My experience is with monos which I realize is a completely different world, but with those boats getting over 70 on 8s would be an ESC killer.

      no on the 12s
      and he will be runnig 2p, I think we talked about it on the first page?
      this way we can use 4 5s 5000mah packs in series and parallel, and use them in other builds such as my OBL with the CC1717 on 5s
