Got my stuff today. Looking forward to using it. I wanted to know what others have done to water proof theirs and please post pics of how it turned out. I hear corrosion x spray is good. And liquid tape clear. But what other options?

I use MG Chemicals acrylic conformal coating from Frys. | encased my GPS unit in casting epoxy from Michaels and I've seen the eloggers done that way too, but I'd hate to send one in that way for warranty work.

Interesting. Id rather not encase mine in stuff like that. But I must say that look pretty darn water tight.

Ive seen & got some clear shrink wrap that has glue inside of it. Wish I had pieces big enough to cover the gps and stuff.
I used to make receiver battery packs and use the heat shrink with glue inside to seal the rx pack up water tight but that stuff was black wrap.

Like this stuff here on ebay

I hear you. The only reason the GPS is that way is because it's out of warranty. I ask about the conformal coating and was told it wouldn't void warranty so I would go that route if I were you. I opened up my USB recorder and gave it a couple of layers of it, so far it's held up and it has been submerged.

Not sure if you know but eagle tree is on rcgoups pretty regularly. So if you have questions or issues they answer them very quick on there.

On the elogger v4 Is it ok to use the throttle position sensor if you have a bec from the esc powering the receiver? I ask because that throttle going to the esc is also power feed to rx and the logger is also getting power from the batteries directly through the volt and amp monitor. I would think it would work but I dont want to fry it to find out for sure

"throttle position sensor" are you talking about the RPM sensor?

I just looked over eagle tree's site and didn't see a throttle position sensor so I'm assuming you meant the RPM sensor. It should connect to 2 leads on the motor side so it will be OK. Also you will need to set the number of motor poles in the software for it to read correctly.
