    Eagle tree elogger v4

I am in the market to get a data logger. I am looking at Eagle Tree elogger v4. 150amp version.
    Are these good?
What happens if your system ends up drawing or spiking over 150 Amps when you test it out? Does that fry the logger? Or just go off the chart?

I just got one last month and I love it... AWESOME TOOL to have and has helped me alot so far. I went to almost 180amps with no issue, the unit did get pretty hot though. I would say go for it, I don't think you will be disappointed. I also waterproofed mine and I grabbed a extra temp sensor and brushless rpm sensor. It took a little playing around with it to get the charts to work the way i wanted them too but all in all I am 100% happy. I want to grab the gps expander whenever I get some extra cash.

They are out of stock everywhere. Should be back in soon. Then I'll have one at last.

I have been using both ETrees for a while now, the style with deans plugs and the 150 with leads...The only problem is the extra battery and esc wire that you have to use to wire them into boat causes excessive resistance...One time, last year, EagleTree shipped me someone elses order by accident, and it was current donuts! Made me think that you could run the ET off of a battery to power the module and GPS without intercepting the battery main leads...Anyone using these CT's?

I used the elogger and the one I had would clip anything over 180 amps. Be careful running those over 150 because I also had an instance when one of the battery leads unsoldered from the board. I purchased the USB flight recorder that uses the "donut" current sensor that will record up to 300 amps and I'm very happy with it. It is powered off the servo leads so it doesn't affect the total battery lead lengths.

That's what I'm talking about! No leads unsoldered, no draining of main packs..No using extra battery wire that contradicts keeping wires from esc to battery short...

Inductive pickup - much easier than running it in series but I wonder if the max readings are as accurate.

We use the larger ones in work...extremely accurate, not sure of hobby grade, but can't seem to find them on ET website, yet they shippped me some poor guy from Norway his Ct's instead of my order..We swapped our stuff, but i should have asked him if he was using them from one of the sensor ports

They're under the plane recorder http://www.eagletreesystems.com/Plane/plane.html, scroll down to accessories. They have 100, 140, 300 amp ones. I got a 100 amp off ebay for $5.00 new.

Just ordered the elogger v4, two temp sensors, GPS, brushless rpm and the LCD screen. So glad they came back in stock. And guess who had them first on my email list? Steven at OSE here. Thanks Steven!
