    SportHydros

Question #2 of the day. What defines a sport hydro? Is it the size, power system, hully type???

    NAMBA or IMPBA rules...

There are clear and fairly specific definitions of what makes a "sport hydro" defined in that section of the NAMBA FE Racing rules... but basically, it's a hydro of "Unlimited or Limited Design" (think real boats) that resembles a real hydroplane and meets certain dimensional criteria...

Go to www.namba.com and look under "Resources", then "Rule Book" and you can read all about it...

DEFINATELY NOT intentional... In this case, I was just trying to give you a very clear and direct answer...

NAMBA Sport Hydro for sure.... I don't recall how long that hull is... If it's under 27", then it'd be a GREAT N2-Sport hull (IMPBA E1)... Otherwise, you'll have to use it in P-Sport (IMPBA E2)... Might be marginal in E2 due to it's size...

Thanks Taylor... I wasn't sure of the length, but I thought it was like 30" or so....

one of the guys at our old foggy club had one that he -verted to FE.
he ran 4S ( 1p old thunder powers warped in duckt tape) and a Novak motor,
It ran good for what it was But my little No step one N2 mono in 6 cell's nimh took it with out a problem.

So at like 30mph i t was a good running boat. but with a average E2 Sport hydro at 60+ i have no idea how she will take the water.

                You put a Neu 1515 1Y (2200KV), a Castle 120 or 240 ESC, and a set of 4S Lipos in there... and that NS1 won't stand a chance!

& that you did Sir Thats why your one of the first guys I go to for advice:). What I am thinking about doing here is a 45mm KB on 4 or 5s. I think this hull may be a big large for a 36mm motor. Still mulling it over. Thanks for the info as always guys :).

I can understand why... That motor is WAY too hot for 3S... 3S should be more in the 2700-3000KV range tops... That's a 2S SAW motor...

Ohh no i wasn't running that motor
I was just saying if i need to beat a E2 sport i could !. . strictly fictitious

I ran a lehner XL 4200 on 2s2p , and the first time i ran a 637, it came back stone cold. the boat was running more out of the water the a plane on floats.
next i take a corner. slide a bit and get sucked under another boat.
