    Watts Up Meter

I just want to get an idea of how useful people find this device. If I understand correctly you can only see maximum values after a run where as with an Eagle Tree Data Logger you get a graph of the whole run.

Thats correct. I use both. I like the simplicity of the Watts up when bench testing. The Eagle tree is far better when testing a boat on the water. We are waiting for the new Eagle tree micro thats coming out. I should have them in a week or two.

Do you need a certain ESC and motor for this unit.

Nope! they have to be connected between batt and ESC, no matter what ESC!

For sport running I still use a Watts Up meter at the lake when testing different props, mainly because of the cost and ease of use.

            0 - 100 amps limit.
            4 - 60 volts dc input limit.

Measures mah used, amps peak, volts/minumum volts, watts peak, Watt hour.

            .001 resistance,
It will add 1/10 of a volt drop to your controller input at 100 amps.

            +/- 1% accuracy

All values update every 0.4 seconds. **Will not catch voltage spikes.**

Has a connecter for reading your receiver battery volts down to 0V.

Mine has read a peak up to 135 amps and it is still working. I dont recommend using it over 100 amps.
