    Power Suggestions for 36" rigger

I am open to any suggestions, this rigger is 36x20 and can run 4 up to 6 cells. I have any combo of batts and a castle 180 hv and cheap 200 hobbyking esc's. Seaking on the way also. I am looking to get in the 70+ mph range with this rigger, and it's only for saw type racing, so run time will be short. Thanks in advance.

he has like 2 other threads with questions concerning this set up, Raptor, and Fluid have already gave suggestions on his current 4s setup to get this boat in the 70's, but he seems to want to put more cells and another motor to get the SAME 70 mph.

It was built by Paul Packmayer. I think they said it was a cajun bullet.

I tried all the props I had with me, and I guess I'm gonna have to get some more that Fluid and raptor suggested. Until then I'm pulling the motor out and going a different route. I have 2s,3s,and 4s packs so I can go different routes. Will a 1527 1d or 1y be a better motor for a 36 inch rigger? Just get me started with the proper motor for this boat and then I can go from there. Somebody said that a 1521 1.5d would have to swing a bigger prop and that would cause prop wash. So I want the best possible motor for a saw setup for this rigger. Thanks in advance

why don't you post a pic of the hull? so Brian and Jay could tell you if it really is a Cajun Bullet.

That was me. And you probably mean prop walk. Not wash. I saw Chris commented in your original thread about maybe needing a wheel as big as 65mm. I tend to agree with that sizing for running at 28k rpms. I'm not a racer, not record holder. But I do understand the mechanics.

I guess I have to ask the obvious question, why not run 5S using the 1521/1.5D? If you have room for the batteries then bump up the RPMs. Then you can keep the prop size down.

Can I run 5s with the 1521 1.5d and not go over on my amps with a smaller prop? And i meant walk.

Yeah i understand. Bigger motors, more torque, bigger props, less rpm! Just worried about amps

I need more props also, I'm gonna get the ones Fluid suggested and try again. The 447/3 did alot better than the 1747. Both props have been worked before I purchased them! I just wanna learn while I play around with this setup and try not to burn up some $$$$ at the same time. Thanks for all the help guys.
