Boat finally running with that 700SC Motor

Thought I would share with you all the results of my wiring up that Fountain. Fred, I did what you said and wired up to the brass tubes. I ran it yesterday for the first time. Although it took forever to get on step, I think I was getting about 25MPH out of it. Nice with that 700SC motor. Amazing for a brushed motor. I may switch to a three blade propeller. Right now I have an octura X440 on it. Using an RCHydros 90 Amp esc, 700SC motor, and two 4S 3,500Mah batteries in parallel; 4S2P. The motor was not hot at all after running for 15 minutes. The rudder is a bit large for this boat so I plan to replace with a 75mm rudder shortly. this boat will become a test bed and I have another MRP 1fountain that I will run a Hobbyking 180Amp ESC and a Neu 1515. That set up will likely be over 40. I will keep you posted.

Nice work Brushless! Very cool paint job...............thats decent speed from a brushed motor, the weight of the boat helps a bunch, others may not realize it, but its a feather light hull...............still got mine, dont run it much lately though.

        Thanks!

I will try to post a video I have of the first run. They dont make it easy posting videos. Check in tomorrow for a video link. I see you posted yours on YouTube and then tied in a link.

As I am a bit leary of youtube, I will post on my website and then attach a link to it tomorrow AM.

Thanks for the nice works on the Paint Job. That's Duplicolor Metal Flake Red with a bunch of clear coats over the top. All the white I had painted but the decals are made from ink jet decal paper from Micro Mark. Using this stuff is like pulling teeth to get it right. You have to spray with Krylon Crystal clear immediately after printing of the colors all run together. Took me about 4 tries and its still not perfect.

          Link to Video

Here's my Video of the first run. Again, kinda takes a while to get on step but after it does, it runs pretty good.

Thanks all for the support with this build! If it takes forever to load, just go to SeattleRCHobbies.com and then go to the RC page. Video is at the bottom
