Just downloaded some Eagle Tree data from my Geico and Fastech (just curious) runs a couple days ago. Setup on the Fastech is stock 1500 PB motor, X642, and Turnigy 90 esc with an additional Rubycon 35v 1000uf cap. Batteries were Turnigy 2s 5000 20c's x 2. Amp pull shown was expected, but what the heck is with the voltage spike? The batts weren't hot, checked out at 3.75 or so volts per cell. Didn't blow anything, can't really explain or really believe the data. Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you used this Eagletree any more? did you find the same phenomenon again? You can try it in live mode with a battery connected. Then try gently knock it, shock it, bend it.
I am guessing this might be a sign of a hidden hardware problem, possibly a bad solder joint on the lower resistor of the voltage devider network.Comment

Water can do the same thing. If it got wet at all, or your esc got wet, you can get some crazy readings.Comment

Here is a short run of MG right after I removed it from the Fastech. I installed a Medusa 36-60-2000 and wanted to check the amp draw since I had a T120 in it. Removed the T120 and went T180 when I saw the 115 amps it was pulling. GPS @ 44.8 with a detongued x442 . Everything looks OK to me on this log.Have you used this Eagletree any more? did you find the same phenomenon again? You can try it in live mode with a battery connected. The stock esc is in the tupperware type container and had no water in it. The hull did have maybe a shot glass worth of water in it, but I attach the eagletree to a half cut pool noodle to keep it off the bottom of the hull. I guess there's a slight chance considering it was bouncing off the waves and ripples. It wasn't wet when I removed it but could be... At least you've given me an idea of what might have happened.Comment
