    Hello Guys,

just want to make a short statement from my point of view concerning rpm: I don't think 35.000rpm are much overall seen, for a Mono it is still quite high. Here in Europe a setup with 40.000rpm is nothing really exciting. It just depends if everything is right chosen:
-rotor of the motor should handle the rpm (tag: armouring)
    -balanced cuppler
-well suited flex shaft or wire drive with less friction
    -well balanced prop

So with just a few rules higher rpms are no problem if you can "handle" it and you won't have any problems with lifetime. But for me 35.000rpm are not even worth mentioning.

Here some of my favourite "rpm" setups:

HPR06 from my neighbor Flo @ 48.000rpm (last year even 56.000rpm):

HPR06 from my Friend Hennes @ 65.000rpm (just listen to the sound)

Best regards and much fun watching the videos,
    Manuel

      Another point of view

Interesting comments, the problems as I perceive it are crappy motors, ESC's and especially bad setups... COG not correct and way overpowered motors with a shiity prop...my 2 cents.

I think those are all potential problems in any RPM range.

I just wanted to give you an update on my 10s Pursuit project.

I had to run my spare esc. The Turnigy 240 HV. Since I had some problems with the ETTI 200HV.

I tested various propellers. 235 Prather gave the best speed, Octura x645 was the prop that worked best in Pursuit hull with my NEU 1521 (1050kv) and 10s.

I drove the boat for two full days with a lot of racing. Neither esc, batteries or motor was especially hot.

I wanted to test out the 12s battery I had lying. The Turnigy esc did die on pluginn!
No smoke, just stopped. So much for HK quality?

I decided to give the Etti a chance and plugged in the 12s battery .... no smoke:)

67mph on 12 s.. No signs of overheating or other problems.

The boat flipped at full speed. The rear of the boat cracked.

This is perhaps a little too much power for the Pursuit hull.

          I now consider a DF 33 or 35"

          I will keep you posted.
