    LOL It's ALL fun Chris.
I started out as a scale boater myself then got the speed bug. It's been all down hill since.

Hey Doug, definately all fun. I'm sure you have seen my 54" Fountain build. Its the perfect combination of scale and all out speed. It looks like a real Fountain (especially once I get the wrap on) and at 30 pounds RTR it aint doing bad at 60 MPH.

Hey Chris, Peter is building my twin mount side by side 1717's now, set my rails to 6" to get both centered betwwen rails, straight out stuffing tubes to twin inline strut/rudders from aeroM, he does a great job.

That mount would bolt to a set of 6" rails , you don't see them in the picture but it would have two mount holes on each end as to be bolted to a stringer system , I have yet to see anyone use rubber isolators for electrics

I like the mounts BUT there is alot of extra material there you can probleby reduce the size and cut the weight in half also on the alum tubes you might want to concider CF for that WOW effect that's what I would do to mine I already have e mailed Peter Let me see what happens PM me a ball park price I don't need the alum tubs and I would want them reduced down quite a bit what do you think thanks chris

                                Not a problem Chris

Here is a single 1717 mount , the Castles are a little more difficult because of the wires at the rear

I install a double O- ring buffer at the rear
