You can mount the motors inboard on the tunnel, then run the stuffing tubes down into the sponsons.

that anit a bad idea !! but that would be some funky bends I would be better off coming straight out the back ?? I can get them in the sponsons I will cut the rails down the hardest part will be figuring out a motor mount I can access

Damn nice big motors, looks just slightly longer than the Leopard 5692's.

Yeah Chris, from one gasser to another you may soon be an EX-gasser once you see how these electrics run.

After one outing without the massive tool box, stinky gasoline, oil, ridiculous yanking of the starter cord, gas on your hands, loud noise and getting wet after throwing the boat in I am an EX-gasser.

Well I always used a clutch so I never got wet on launch or needed someone to help me but most gassers run without a clutch. Even still....nothing like the easy start up, pulling away from shore nice and slow and that quiet. Well these big electrics do make noise but its music compared to the gassers.

The only downside to electric is the limited run time. Most gassers can run 30 minutes on a tank of gas. And it only takes a minute to get back on the water. But I remember wanting to bring it in after 10 minutes anyway.

I can get a solid 12 minutes on my 54 Fountain rig.

Yeah I don't mind the smell of 2 stroke fumes myself. I have twin 250 HP 2 strokes on my real boat. The smell is the best part of the morning before going out fishing.

The smell of the gas is not though.

Do you still like the crackle and whine of those Zenoah's? Between the constant noise and gas smell I would have a massive headache after a few hours at the lake with a bunch of gassers.

Oh yeah....I wouldn't run anything less than the 1/4" shafts from the gassers. I use the Hughey shafts with a collet.

Love it !!! I have been at this for 25 years. My boats start on a few pulls and pretty much drive them back to shore most of the time. my son inlaw helps me out and I enjoy watching my grandson running my boats http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lqLWUpSGsk
