That leaves the user the freedom to choose between two winding config, Delta or Wye, by wiring them externally. Lehner used to make their motors like this but not for their new "Hi-Amp" models.

Hi, i have just finished building a HPR06 to run on 6s. where would you recommend to start off with the c.g. ? and is that measurement from the true or false transom?
Cheers

Hello Guys,
yes Himalaya is right, a brushless motor has got 3 coils which would mean 6 connectors and you can connect them either in Wye or Delta.
Most motor manufactures do this internally and you can either buy a motor with one of the two configurations. As far as I know the LMT 30 series is the only one (beside smaller series without HiAmp but it hasn't got connectors) stock motor with 6 connectors.
In the HPR 135 "Lightwight" I used two LMT 3040/9 in Delta configuration but could also use them in Wye giving roughly a 3040/16
@ David: You may write me a PM or start a new thread about it!

Hi GP,
well in fact I do not own both boats. The one on the right is the HPR 135 "Lightweight" which I already presented here in this thread and it was a build from me for a friend of mine. The other one on the left is my personal HPR 135, compared to the "Lightweight" I'd maybe call it the heavy and especially fast one.
Best regards,
