Anyhow, I would like to know if you have two motors one running 4s at 30,000rpm and another running 5s at 30,000rpm and they are exactly the same otherwise. What is the difference in performance? Does the 5s run less amps? More torque?
Just curious, I have learned alot about FE from everyone here and I really appreciate the help! I'm just the type that asks lots of questions before acting so I don't screw anything up.
You just answered your question bud. This would be like comparing a 1620kv motor and a 2030kv motor so in this case check out a motor sheet and compare the amp load http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/fei...tors-chart.php a good comparison would be 12L & a 15L.

Now you have a 7xl which would not work very well in this pursuit. The higher the kv the more top end and les torque so your 7xl won't work very well in a 32" mono, but say a 10xl - 12xl could work because the lower kv have more torque to push the bigger hull. Hopefully that makes sense.

Definetly makes sense! I just wanted to see if I was on the right track. So in theory you could safetly use a bigger prop with the 5s setup as opposed to the 4s setup, right?
