Funny, I moved it before you posted. haha

when someone starts a thread in the wrong place, then they find it moved (to the correct location) they tend to keep the next set of threads in the proper place.

I would be happy with even a Mini thread stickied at the top.

Yea you got me on that one lol, people are prob gonna think im crazy now.

I understand what everyone is saying though, and if it happens I won't complain. If a boat gets a lot of attention i.e the spartan i think it should have it's own section which is why i think the df line should have it's own section. Let's face it most of us here have owned or ran a df or df copy...

I have zero interest in mini boats, but Im voting for the separate Q n A for them.My opinion is,if it makes navagating this forum easier for new people,do it.We as an FE community need and should want all the people we can get. This might help with racing as more FE boaters could show up at more races, promoting us and our electric side of the hobby.Search button or not, expanding the forum isnt a bad thing. We should be open to people, not shy them away because some might not be too computer savvy to navagate a website. Also, the demand on the current members might be high enough to justify adding it.

Mini's and micro's have a different game set. What is a ripple to a 27" mono (of the DF, DF copy, SV, etc variety) is a tsunami to a mini.

We have sections for some small boats like: AquaCraft Mini Rio Q & A, AquaCraft Mini Round Nose Hydroplane Q & A, AquaCraft Mini Wildcat Q & A, ProBoat Mini-C Catamaran Q & A, ProBoat Mini-V Deep Vee Q & A, but this does not cover all the other ones as there are many out there like the Delta Force, Mini Cat BBY's etc.

People have to make a new post and post it in a place where it would not apply and would be mixed up with larger boats where most of the members are viewing actively and don't care to see these and the moderators have no place to move these accordingly unless they are an Aquacraft or Proboat Mini.

Recently NitroRCX boats came up. It went in the Fast Electric Rc Boating Questions and Answer Forum. I would only know to look there and found this, but found this on accident as this area is a hodge-podge of everything. I would never have known to "Search" Nitrorcx as they never carried boats before and an excellent place would have been under the Mini Q&A and there are many others like that in that forum that "don't belong" but have no home for them.

It's not just a moderators job to move a post to the correct place, but to move it to a correct place, but it has to exist first. Right now if I wanted to post my Mini Cat setup there is no place to move it to. It does not fall under any of the Aquacraft or the ProBoat sections. So the only place is in the Fast Electric Rc Boating Questions and Answer Forum or If you have a tips or tricks for building a Fast Electric Boat, post it here!!! which most members who are viewing there are interested in other boats and when they post, my post would get pushed down and quickly and lost in the posts eventually. This is annoying to them and myself I'm sure. I have to keep saying something to keep my post "alive" in hope that it will be seen by the right party and that I will get a "good answer" if seen. In reality what happens is that the post gets pushed onto the next page cause of the other different posts for larger boats. Now you have to say something to keep that post active in an area that is not even Mini related in an area that is not for smaller boats.

Overall OSE has grown in leaps and bounds and with all that OSE has a Mini Q&A for all other boats seems to be missing. If and when that would be added OSE would be a complete message board and have a place for everyone............except for those Flying boats.

That's sorta what I asked for a long time ago, not for Mini Cat, but for a Mini board down amongst the Aquacraft, Proboat, Venom, etc. I didn't think it was a big deal because some of my customers expressed their frustrations about finding information and conversations about mini boats. Here we are, several months later, still discussing it. Steven is a great guy and a good friend. When I pushed the point he thought I just wanted free advertising. Not so. All mini's should be there regardless of whether they are scratch built, rtr, etc. etc.

So far, 37% favor some sort of Mini section. That is a pretty good representation in support when considering the entire spectrum of FE!

I agree wholeheartedly that just a sticky would be great and suggested that at one point as well.

FWIW, I think splitting up the For Sale and Wanted to Buy was a GREAT idea!

I would add my vote for a mini area non manufacturer specific. To be honest I am a mini addict having six of them and would welcome reading any and all mini comments and questions. I am somewhat "water limited" on my nearest and easy to walk to water, so love to use my mini's there.

Jim Rome wasn't build in a day, and neither was the OSE forum. I do the upgrading on my spare time. As you can see from my participation, the winter months are slow and I've been active here. I have a life that includes 3 young kids, a great wife and two full time jobs. So yes, its several months later and now I'm finding the time to discuss it. I do apologize, I wish I've done it sooner. As with any good forum administrator, I've decided to ask the users what they would like to see. Its the users forum and they should have some input on the matter.

Jim I'm not sure why you want to bring this public, but in my defense here is the email you sent me.

Subject: Mini Car Racing RTR Questions and Answers Board

                            Steven,

How do I set this up and get it going on the forum?

                            Thanks,
                            Jim
I read the title line and it says you are asking for a mini cat racing forum, so yes I believed you were looking for your own area.

                            Of which I replied.

Jim what you are asking for is a separate area for Mini Cat Racing.
I haven’t given a thought to offering other people areas for their sites.
Let me think about it. Right now I’m in the middle of moving the entire site to a new server.
Creating an entire section for Mini/Micro boats is a good idea for those people that use them. My fear is that a person with knowledge of rc boating will normally surf the entire Q&A and help people any one they may have an answer to, wheather the boat is 15" or 35". But if less people surf the mini q&a the questions may go unanswered.

I would really like to move on in a positive direction Jim......

The problem with that is, most of the topics currently do not identify the RTR model because of the seperation. merging them will cause confusion because...

                                SV27 board:
                                motor issues

                                UL-1 board:
                                turn fin question

                                Merging will look like this:
                                motor issues
                                turn fin question
"A quick temper will make a fool of you soon enough."
                                . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Bruce Lee. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
