    rudder placement ?

on my cat the rudder placement is offset and in front of the prop the leading edge of the prop is at the rear of the rudder just about , i dont have much rudder input at speed, slowed down is ok but a bit different than what i would expect. the rudder now sits 2.75" below the sponson i just removed 1" of material from the prop even when it was longer it acted the same, i checked the linkage and servo strength and looked for any servo defection which was minimal, maybe this is not the right setup for a 34" boat?

That rudder position is not terrible although putting it back an inch wouldn't hurt. I don't understand what you mean by "I don't have much rudder input." Can you change the transmitter steering endpoints to maximum? Can you move the pushrod further out on the servo horn? Can you move the pushrod closer to the pivot on the rudder horn?

How much does the rear edge of the rudder move from neutral to full rudder now - in inches?

maybe i should of said output, i mean at speed its not directly porpotional from tranmitter to the reaction of the boat, i have full range of rudder.

during a run at wot steering is limited until i slow, if i were to get off the gas quick it whip around

i will make good notes of the problem at the lake today.

the rudder has 1" of movement from center, every thing is were it should be as far as servo and rudder linkage setup i took my time to make it work it should be jerking this boat all around

also using a tower hobbies 110 oz servo, i stalled the servo with my hand to see if the linkage is bending, none turning right and slight turning left
