I think if a guy was to run a Spektrum MR3000 with the dual antennas,it should be fine. One wire gets put in a tube anyway.
Im building the same hull but in FG myself and going to put in 3 Align outrunners on 6s each.I know it will be heavy, but I dont care.It ll probably just end up being a SAW boat anyway. My silver twin cat probably weighs about 8-10lbs.Same as the EKOS it replaced.Weight can be your friend.

My 40" DF ran well with a 2215 on 10s2p as well, but my smiths cat was a different story. It wouldnt pull the sponsons up out of the water and plane out until maybe 35-40mph...or it would pull one side up and dart one way. Thats a little bit smaller hull than yours, and a very aggressive hull design so yours may be ok, I dont know. Alot of times boats handle worse with more weight, contrary to popular belief.

Either way, it may run great in a straight line, I dont know (It more than likely wont corner as well as it would if it were lighter, but if you just want straight speed I imagine you dont care). It would be just as fast if not faster with the motors I linked though.JMHO.
