We have never really GPS'd the Velocity but the speed is similar to the Micro Hydro. The Hydro is faster on calm water but the Velocity rips on rough water.

We have true GPS'd the Hydro. With the stock motor, they consistently run 37-38mph. With the 3200KV motor (standard in the Carbon Fiber Hydro), it is about 42mph.

Thanks for the compliment. We are a bit biased. We agree with you! Haha.

I almost bought one but, found a Drifter S on Ebay and got a decent deal, lots of work to do though.

I think it;s a very nice boat and it comes with counter weights and instructions for the self righting, cool!

        Looks solid too.

Yea it looks real good, not sure if I need another mono in my fleet though, even though I really like this hull. I just picked up a H&m no step 2 self righting from the swap shop. Just dropped ul1 power in it last night, can't wait to try this thing out. Good deal on the drifter, Gotta love H&M hulls!

Youll possibly have to change the shaft if putting a more powerfull motor in as the shaft is a little unusual. Its a 4mm straight wire shaft but at the motor end it has a very short piece of flex shaft welded on, Looks around 1"- 1.25" long which is only 1/8"diameter. Martin.

I always change out the stock stuff when I get cheaper china boats. I normally keep the hardware, but drill out the 4mm bushings and install 3/16 bushings and sell the motor/esc on ebay or here, keeps my cost down that way. I'd use a .150 cable or wire drive.

A self righting NS2 would be great, don;t worry about the chinese boat then.

I just don't like the shark logo on it. Wish it was not there and the red nose like rudolph the red nosed reindeer.

They just added in a RTR with not electronics:

Scroll to the bottom, Motor and Electronics Does Not Included in KIT Package! For Illusion purpose ONLY!!

                          LOL! it's an illusion!

The other mono runs well too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsW00vhTRXY

Wow, if it had been around before I boat my DF23, I would have bought this instead.

Still, I like my DF23.... and DrifterS
