In the UK the Exceed is called the Apro (same boat ), If you want to see one running go to modelspeed.net. Then click on boats & submarines on the left of the page then most of the boats Dragon make are their including the Apro. Click on the apro & it will come up with pictures of the boat & a video of it running.

That should be Arpro & not apro as i put, As you can see on the stand of the picture you posted it says Arpro & not Exceed. They are the same boats.

We tested the Arpro. The shaft angle is negative which makes it bury the bow. Won't let it get up to speed. The shaft is solid. The angle cannot be changed. We passed on the boat.

No they are not. I thought that too. So I decided to try one. They are 4 pole motors just of another color. Why? I couldnt tell you. I purchased one of the green LBA4074 in 2000kv several months ago and it was a 4 pole. I once again decided to purchase a couple green LBA4074 in 2150kv and they came in as 4 pole. Get em while you can because the home page, Leopard motors, no longer carries them. The Gold motors, once being sold by them (but now being sold by FDM) are gone as well. Now the green series LBA motors have disappeared too off the their home page. I'm thinking that Leopard Motors is standardizing on a certain color or motor line series.

Might we start collecting them according to color coordination for our builds? Could we be so vain?

On your Velocity Mono what sort of angle do you find works the best on the strut angle ie neutral or up on the prop nut or down on the prop nut. Thanks.

As they OEM motors for other companies, to put their own name on, the colors get taken up! Happens all the time, you just don't notice it. FDM, for example, probably said "we want the Gold color so you can't sell the gold ones to anyone else."

As strange is this may sound, we have never changed the strut angle on the velocity from where it's set at the factory so I can't answer your question. It runs so great as it comes we have found no need to mess with it!

What is the top speed of the Velocity Mono compared with the Minicat hydro like bearing in mind the Minicat has a smaller motor. Or is the Minicat a faster boat in a straight line than the Velocity mono. I agree about being great boats & dont know why you wont anything bigger with the fun you get with these micro boats. Thanks.
