    Hello Guys,

well as said it would be to much effort for a private user to make these measurements and care about it. But I think for the OSE shop it would be rentable to have all their connectors checked and post the results as well as take the best ones in the shop.

For example would be interesting to see how the various 8mm systems compare to the 6mm LMT system? And for size, with 4.1g the LMT is a bit above 1/3 of the size of the 8mm system - I think that difference can matter.

    Best regards,
    Manuel

I just wish that some company came up with a bullet designed Deans type connector.

Thanks Ryan, I will check them out.

Edit: checked them out, does the plastic housing take high heat, a pity they were not 5.5mm or higher...I will try them out.

They are supposed to be good for 120 amps continuous

These connectors seem pretty good: http://shop.rc-electronic.com/e-vend...t=12&c=44&p=44

Just found them while browsing Emcotec stuff. Resistance is <0,04mOhm, that's even better than the LMT ones!

But they say they will handle 120A max, and the LMT say 200A. I don't know, what do you guys think about them? Also, the Emcotec ones are 8mm, and the LMT ones are 6mm.

The reason for the lower amp rating is the thin (slotted) metal that is making actual contact - conducting the current. And they would also be harder to solder without inspection holes in them to allow good flow. I'd stay away from these.

Oh alright, I see. LMT is closed until the 7th, I'm thinking of going with their 6mm plug system. If not I'll go with the OSE 8mm plugs.

                      Hello Guys,

I just took a look at the Emcotec 8mm system, the resistance of 0.04 sounds great but then why they rate it at only 120A? Because the resistance defines how good it can "handle" the current. Anyway, at 7.90€ a pair they are really expensive.

@ Domp444: Would be curious to see your experience with the 6mm LMT System. I think you'd be surprised of the outstanding insertion force.

                      Best regards,
                      Manuel

Yeah, they're expensive and only rated to 120A. I'm waiting for a reply from LMT since I think I'm gonna go with their connectors. They seem to be of highest quality and current rating :)

Well, guess what finally came today!

My LMT plugs. I will be using these for the lipos for my DOI.

                            Hey,

have you already tried to connect and then disconnect them? I really hope you are satiesfied as they were my recommendation and are quite expensive as well.

                            Best regards,
                            Manuel

I did try to connect them, but it is quite difficult to do it when they are not soldered on to anything. I think tomorrow I will put them on my lipos and try them out. They are thick and look very strong. I think they will be worth the price.

                              Thanks for the recommendation Manuel!
