    offshore class.

Just would like to know if i can run the KING OF SHAVES P1 hull in the offshore class or the DF 29? I have the Miss Geico to run but would like a "V" hull to.

    Thanks all

How long is the hull and what cell count. LSO is limited to 4s lipo max. (not sure on max hull length and would have to check the book) Q offshore is limited to a 40" max hull and 6s lipo max.

LSO is Limited SPEC Offshore. MUST run UL-1, SV27, or Proboat 1500 motor, on 4S. NO OTHERS. It is a spec class. All offshore boats must have a 1" freeboard. The eliminates the DF. The genesis would be fine but doubt if it would run that great on the spec. There really isn't any hull length restriction "officially" that I know of. Around 32" is where you are going to start to lose ground with just a spec motor anyway.

You can run the Genesis in Q Offshore. Any motor, etc, on 6S. That's what Hugh's big cat and my Aeromarine Cat are. Highndry has one also. Great class. The genesis would probably do well.

        Shark,

        For mono's, freeboard at the highest point can't be < 1". I don't think the DF's qualify.

Most of the so-called "spec" classes are not official in the rule book. People are working on getting them in there. It's just a well accepted set of specs everyone follows.

I just measured and it is 1.5" of free board.

I can hook you up with a Proboat motor and ESC, to run on 4S in the P1 I am selling, or can sell w/o motor/esc for $190 if you would like, I can swap out the 642 for a 445 or 645.

thanks Jesse. I have the proboat motor and a 120 esc. I work at a hobby shop we have the P1 here. I just dont need the motor and mount and esc or raido in it. But $190 is a good deal

Should run good! I prefer the UL-1 motor but to each his own poison

The mount is fiber-glassed in and perfectly lined up with .150 flex drive... not sure why you wouldn't want the mount? I am sure you have seen my thread, there are pics of the mount in there.

For some reason I didnt think the DF's qualified....I think the measurement is from the sheer to the top of the gunwale.

Everyone I've talked to says the DF's do NOT qualify. You are correct Highndry, regarding where you measure. I think it is also sheer to gunwale from midships to the stern.
