What's the fastest thing you could do with a 1717?

Howdy guys, I'm looking to put my Castle 1717 to some good use and I wanted to get your input on a good rig for SAW runs. What I think is that I would go with a pair of 3S batteries in series for an unloaded RPM in the 35K range. And example specification would be like the Flightmax Zippy 40C pack at 424g, 145x50x27mm. What I'm not too sure about would be the hull, shaft, tube, and prop. I hear that generally a 30-40 inch hull is about right. I was thinking maybe a 30" Mean Machine. OSE says it's stable to 60. I'm afraid I might get too much air under it. I'm leaning more toward a JAE 21FE rigger (31.5") or a Blazer Marine Sport20 (30") or Sport40 (36"). In any case I want to use one of Punisher67's motor mounts...

What do you think? Thanks in advance.

PS. Not sanctioned class SAW runs, just braggin rights at the pond SAW runs! So, unlimited specs.

Looking at this with much interest, I have a 1717 without a 'home' and I was thinking about a DF Cyber Storm 33 when they come out (on 4S). But I'm not sure if the hull is big enough.

Put it in a JAE. Won't regret it.

How fast of a SAW boat do you want?
the mean machine isnt the best choice for a SAW cat.

That's a hard question to answer. I was really humbled on my last project so I wanted to gather some advice before I decided how to go on this one. 50 is a pretty damn respectable club. My buddies are doing 60s with Sport hydro gassers and I'm sure will be faster next year. I don't want to get too far in front of my skis but I'm hoping to touch 70. I realize that's a huge huge number. I guess the point was to see what I can expect with a 1717 because I have one to use.

I ran that motor in a H@M Drifter L on 6s2p and was in the mid sixties with a X648.
The motor was hardly working with that setup.

                  Mid 60's with a X648, Hummm, a X650 will send it to the 70's.
