I'll take a video when I run it! For now, here's some more pics...

I put epoxy over all the wood and added some to the motor mount. Everything seems a lot more sturdy now. Also installed the servo, turn fins, and secured the rudder in place.

Oh and I figured out how to get the shaft out! Haha, wasn't too hard. Also, Jan said that the Pursuit now comes with a 3/16 flex shaft to handle the extra power. I ordered the one piece flex shaft but I think I'll use this one for now.

At first I was gonna use an extra rx for the boat and use the 2.4ghz tx I have for my SV27. But after some thinking, I decided to go with another 2.4ghz tx/rx. There's a lot of advantages to having a separate tx for each boat IMO.

Oh and Diesel (or whoever else has a Pursuit), where do the strut seals go?

Yep, he's a great guy and it's always a pleasure to deal with him!

And that's probably what I would say if I tried painting mine, ahaha. I'm sure it'll look good though. Pics when you're finished!

Alright, I think I figured out where the strut seals go. I put 2 of them inside the strut where the shaft goes.

But, it didn't stop the leaking from the teflon liner. I put 'er in the tub and there is water coming in from the teflon liner. I thought, maybe it needs some grease. So I put grease on the shaft, and water is still dripping in. I don't know what else to do

Never mind - got everything sorted out. I put the strut seals on wrong at first which is why it was leaking. No water now, hopefully no water when I run it!

                          Strut Seals

OK I have to ask what is the right way to put on strut seals? Was thinking of a Pursuit so I would run in to this issue myself.

                          Thanks

From what I understand - the strut seals go on the teflon liner and then you have to push the strut back on. You have to find a way to hold the seals in place so that when you put the strut back on it doesn't push them back. I just held the top with a small allen key and the bottom with my finger.

You should get the Pursuit, it's an awesome boat. I would recommend getting the one pc 3/16 flex shaft with it, since you'd have to put the strut seals back on every time you want to grease it. Also, it's just a lot easier to work with.

                              Pursuit

Yes I have one boat with the 2 piece shaft that I need to convert, it is a pain for routine greasing.
Thanks for the hint on seals

The 2 pc shaft is pretty good in terms of reliability, but it's just really inconvenient. My props fit a lot better on the 1 pc than the 2 pc. Some of them were too long and so the bullet set screw wouldn't screw into the slot, with the 1 pc they go on fine since it only requires screwing on the nut and bullet (if you get one).
