      CAPs for the T180A

Let me preface this with "I am no expert" and I do not have an EE behind my name, but:

From what I have heard, you can't go wrong adding the same exact capacitors as the manufacturer puts on the ESC.

So, for those of you running the Turnigy/Seaking 180A ESCs, you can buy the same exact capacitors from HERE

Or the high temp 35V 1000uf RX30 Rubycons HERE

He offers free shipping that was fast as well.
My order was placed Monday, shipped from NY and arrived on Wednesday in CA.

Thats where I get mine but, the 63V ones are special order, lead time, 18-28 weeks.

..and if you ask the cap king, he will reccommend the best ones for our needs. His caps are very well scrutinized and have very low failure rates. Good reading there too.

The smaller the capacitor the less resistance, therefore using a few small caps is better than using a single large one. Eg; 3 x 330 is better than 1 x 1000. You want them as close to the ESC as possible, this allows them to "filter" the ripple current most efficiently

Hi. I would like if someone can assist me. I bought a TP 5660 800kv and swordfish pro300 and a capacitor bank from rcboatbitz. I want to run it on 8s or 9s setup, can anybody help me by showing me how to connect the capacitor bank. I really don't want to burn up my Esc.
            Thank you

Very simple. You just wire it in parallel with the power wires.

Ok. Tq so much for the replay. I have the same bank am i will then solder it in parallel. Should i still use the Std bank that is supplied with the Std300A or will this one be enough for no spark.
Also. Any suggestions on wilt would be the best prop to use for my setup. I bought a octura x455/3 and octura x452/3. The 55 is for 8s and 52 is for 9s. Does that sound right, or can anybody suggest better option.
                    Tq again for the reply

Has anybody used these TP motors from rcboatbitz before. I have been told that they are better quality then the leopard motors, Thats why i got this one.

I have heard both ways... Leopard better than TP and TP better than Leopard. Who knows

The caps do not eliminate the spark upon connecting the battery to the ESC - that is not their function. They are there suposedly to reduce the risk of ESC failure due to the ripple current when the motor is drawing more than cheap cells can supply. Make certain that the voltage of the caps is higher than the intended max voltage you will use.

We cannot answer your question accurately without knowing what exact boat you will mount the motor in, the specifics of your packs (mAH, "C" rating), the use you will have for the boat, and your expectations. Are you looking for top speed, long run time, racing, sport running, what?

Forget the three bladed props, you will probably need a larger thrust cone for that boat than 52mm for best efficiency. The 5660 is not a powerful motor compared to larger, the more common 5692 or 5698, so I'd start with an x455/2 on either voltage. You may be able to go up to an x460, but past that I have no idea. Expect speeds in the 45-50 mph range with a well set up hull.
