The only problem with that is it is yet another class then. How bought something like q-spec?
What P-limited "Spec" classes do you race?

Some guys here are testing the Q-Spec idea. They are looking at OPC Tunnels (7.5 boats on 6S1P and a "spec" 6S motor), as well as a similiar package for Sport 40 boats, and a Hydro (36-40" rigger)... Nitro/Gas guys seem to be more interested in this level of boat.Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

It is another class. But one that I would be maintaining and bringing all the hulls and such to the pond. No one has to bring anything extra. And yes, I am looking at 6S instead of 4S for the voltage.
I have no plans or agenda to try and add another class.Comment

I meant it in the way that we are unable to drop any classses now no matter how poorly they are attended. Spec racing does have an apeal, and inmo we screwed up with length limits. They should have been 40 size for the 4s classes but again the experts said.........I try and avoid paste eaters.Comment

We're three years in now racing FE classes in the district series. I don't recall anyone being disinterested because of the size of the boats. Maybe it's just here???
We have a few local gas guys that are racing P-Limited Hydro, Sport Hydro, and O/B Tunnel. Two are now building P-Monos.
The hydros are really getting the attention.
Alan that is a good idea and alot to take on.
I applaud your efforts and wish you the best of luck.
We'll be watching.

Our local club races, which are predominately a nitro affair with the exception of LSH, is going to incorporate P-limited hydro as our next FE class. The reason being... Quite a few of the nitro racers have expressed an interest in running a FE rigger, so we went that route. If we have continued success with LSH and the P-limited Hydro class works out, we will most likely push for P-limited OPC next.
Doug Peterson and myself have put together a "FE Guide" tailored to the nitro audience to help increase FE participation in District 4. This has helped our FE initiative quite a bit.Comment
