I would use a small cutting head on my dremel. Make a cut to use a flat head screw driver. It usually gets the job done. If you need some more power then you can tap on the handle of the screw driver like a chisel in the direction that will loosen the screw.

Did you loctite the set screw when you put it in? If so, you're going to have to use a soldering iron to melt the loctite before you're gonna have any luck removing that screw!Mini Cat Racing USA

I used the iron to heat up the screw beforehand... I bought some wrenches and grubs from steve... going to see if I can take out the screw if not I guess I'll have to buy some upgraded couplers too! It's pouring here anyways so not like I'd be able to run her today.... bummer.Comment

Tried this several times and it's never worked for me. I take them to work and the guys in the shop use the torx tip and they come right out.Comment

Can try the Torx bit. If it doesnt fit tight use a piece of paper and shove the bit down with it.
I advise against stainless screws that small. Stainless is softer metal than the black set screws.42" Osprey, 32" Pursuit, 26" Bling Rocket (rescue), Blizzard Rigger, JAE 21FE rigger, Hobby King rigger (RIP)Comment

First of all if its an allen screw to hold prop shafts and drive dogs USE HEAT FIRST! i have to use a small heat shrink torch to heat the shaft and the screw to ease it from the loc-tite and it backs out very easily. Im using the same crappy L shaped wrenches and ive never had a problem stripping the screw just the wrench its self rounds off and i have to keep cutting tiny pieces off of it.!I believe it's my god-given right, To destroy everything in my sight. Cause it never gets dull, it never gets old. The only thing it gets is more bold. Drinkin', fightin', going to the game. In our world it's a way to stay sane. If you're asking me. To have it my way, I'd say that's One fine day. ---- The OffspringComment
